Garden Arbor Design
The garden arbor design in this project calls for a 2-post arbor; but you can apply the same principles to a larger wooden arbor (a 4-post arbor will be more likely to remain plumb as the years pass). It will take the average do-it-yourself landscaper 2 days to build this garden arbor.

Gourd Arbor
Amy Skyrus wants to add a gourd arbor that will create an attractive entryway into the area. Along the sides of the arbor--which will eventually be covered by gourd vines--the crew will add a wrought-iron fence to further define the area without blocking the view of the vegetable beds.

Garden Arbor Bench
You can add a little romance to your garden with this handsome arbor bench. The freestanding 60-inch-wide, 30-inch-deep, 86-inch-high structure has a number of subtle features that add to its appearance, strength, and comfort.

Lattice Arbor
A lovely corner arbor adorned with vines and flowers. Not only would an arbor provide a shaded place to sit and relax on a sunny afternoon, it would also give the Hartnetts a bit of privacy on their deck, which is entirely open on the side that faces their neighbors' property.
