Boat Plans - Sunapee 22-Foot Cruiser, The Dug, and more
Sunapee 22-Foot CruiserFree Plans for the Sunapee 22' Cruiser designed by Carl Gage. From the 1935 edition of "Twenty Boats You Can Build".
The DugThis design is an attempt to overcome the balancing difficulties inherent in the original "maximum volume" design. The design has been modified, using the righting moment calculator from the Stability section as an aid, to give an acceptable compromise between stability, volume and looks.
Micro Folding DinghyThe Micro Folding Dinghy is based on one of Matt Layden's early folding dinghies; however it incorporates some of Matt's ideas as well as a few of our own to create a cheap and sturdy boat.
Dinghy-57We found the frame drawings of this dinghy in a book published in 1957, that's why "Dinghy -57". This is an adaptation of those drawings to stich and glue construction. The "Dinghy -57" measures 7'10" x 3'4" and barely fulfills my "minimum boat requirements" presented in the "Simple Dinghy" section.
Simple DinghyThis is another easy start for boatbuilding. A very simple 7'4" x 3'10" dinghy, made out of simple materials, using a simple construction method and just the basic tools.
HalfpeaThe smallest dinghy in the world, or should I add, the smallest decent (well, semi decent, at least ;-) dinghy in the world. Free plans and building instructions.
Coolwater Shanty BoatWell, maybe it might cost a little more in today's money. These plans even detail how to make a built in wooden bilge pump!
