Wood Wine Rack
If you’re a wine collector or even if you just enjoy an occasional vintage bottle of wine, you’ll need a place to store your collection. A small wooden wine rack can be built easily using the following materials: Wood (amount varies based on size of rack you’ll be making). A board which is 3" x 3/4" x 60" will make a rack which will hold 10 bottles.
Inexpensive Wine Rack
We came up with the idea of using PVC pipe and wood frames to build an inexpensive rack. If you go to your local HQ or Home Depot, you'll find a vast array of pipe styles available. There are pipes with small holes, pipes of varying diameters and thicknesses.
Wine Rack
Begin by drilling three holes in four of the 2- x 2- x 18" boards with a 1/2" wood-boring bit for the sisal rope. Drill holes 1 1/2", 81/2", and 16 1/2" from the top. Next, saw the remaining four boards in half.
Build a Wine Rack
This rack can easily be expanded or reduced in size to fit your available space or accommodate your collection, and you can make any number of cubes and stack them vertically, horizontally, or in steps.
Hanging Wine Rack
If you're short on space, this bronze wine rack will hang in a closet, but it's pretty enough to hang on a wall. Who knew a bug screen could look so romantic?
Mahogany Wine Rack
The project can be functionally divided into two phases: the inner honeycomb structure and the outside case. The key ingredient to this project is the template, but since the layout of the design is critical to the strength and character of the finished rack, the project begins with a diagram and some carefully thought-out planning.
Bookcase into Wine Rack
One man’s trash is another man’s treasure, so think again before throwing away an old piece of furniture like a bookcase. With some imagination you can sand it down, paint it, and add a few new pieces to turn it into an amazing and functional wine rack.
Make your own Wine Rack
You can use a second-hand bookcase, or pick up a new raw-pine unit for about $125 at a pine warehouse. It's the easiest project you'll ever make because you don't have to build the cabinet, just modify an existing bookcase. See below for step by step instructions and photo gallery.
Bottle Holder
Amaze your company with this gravity defying wine bottle holder, and give them one to take home when they leave.
